Give the gift of water.
Bringing fresh water to families in Uganda.
WHO WE ARE
Kirabo’s Well was founded by Rebecca and James Nadauld in honor of their son, Kirabo. Their journey began when they adopted Kirabo at the age of three from Kayabwe village, whose community saved his life. Inspired by the villagers’ kindness and moved by the lack of access to fresh water, the Nadaulds established Kirabo’s Well to give back. They provide safe, sustainable water sources that ensure local children and families have access to fresh, life-sustaining water for generations to come.

The Importance of Life-Saving Fresh Water
Imagine your 6-year old child carrying jugs of water every morning at 6 am for 2-miles before school. It’s your child’s responsibility to provide the day’s water for your family of 9 who use up to 5 and half gallons of water per day. Water borne illness is high — bilharzia, cholera, typhoid, dysentery — and dangers exist from drowning in deep-water drop-offs left from sand excavations. These long walks to gather water disproportionately affect girls who risk being attacked while walking for their daily fresh water. They also often drop out of school because of this daily burden, continuing the cycle of uneducated village girls.

Love is a powerful thing! Who knew that the Nadauld's love for Kirabo would open new chapters in many people's lives? Come to think of it: Where once there was thirst and sickness, now there is life and strength—six boreholes in six villages have not just brought water, but restored hope, health, and dignity to the heart of central Uganda villages. You can only understand this if you have never had clean drinking water!
